In 1984, a new player emerged in the luxury yacht market, marking a significant turning point for international yacht enthusiasts. A dynamic collaboration unfolded between a small Italian shipyard, founded by two brothers, Norberto and Alessandro and a visionary individual named George. Following the Düsseldorf International Boat Show, a planned meeting at the shipyard’s headquarters in Bologna turned into a daring adventure due to challenging weather conditions. To finalize the groundbreaking deal that established the first dealership of its kind, George navigated through a blinding snowstorm in Torino.
The shipbuilding company, initially focused on motor-sailers, had recently decided to diversify into motor-boats. Several of these newly introduced vessels were sold in Greece that year, with the Aegean dubbed “the test track for all new boats” by Norberto Ferretti. This marked the beginning of Greek yachting enthusiasts’ exposure to Italian craftsmanship. The dealership became a trailblazer in providing a comprehensive experience of yacht sales and exceptional after-sales service.
